Mini Malaysia

Really is small (Our state house)

Entrance of the Taman Mini Malaysia

After we leave the Butterfly & Reptiles Park, we come to the Mini Malaysia. Mini Malaysia explores the various types of traditional Malaysian houses representing the 13 states.

Each traditional house is manned by a kebaya-clad duty officer and displays different furnishings and mannequins. Most distinctive are the Tuaran Sabah-Lotud Dusun Traditional House and the Iban Long House from Sarawak, made partly of bamboo and garishly decorated with human skulls.

An arena within the compound occasionally stages cultural shows and traditional games. Mini Asean features representative houses from Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The Filipino house is especially picturesque. Finally, drop by the Pusat Kraftangan (Handicraft Center) for an intriguing range of baskets.
