Food of jonker street

Wow, so many food that in this jonker street!!! If you’re asking a local resident or tour guide to suggest a must-visit destination in Melaka, except the historical places of warship, chances are extremely high that he/she will definitely answer with firmed tone, speaking out one of these names Jonker Street, Jonker Walk or Jalan Hang Jebat.

Jonker Street, houses some of the Melaka oldest dwellings or houses dating back to the 17th century, is also informally known as the antique street. The antique shops here are featuring artifacts from different periods of colonial rule Portuguese, Dutch, and British. If you have sufficient time to stroll through the street with eagle eyes, you can easily hunt and bargain for the unique and valuable antique furniture, Chinese porcelain, brassware, cast iron beds, lamps, coins and money notes, as well as the priceless Buddha statues. Besides this antique, Jonker Street have many small stalk that sell snack, drink, candy, and some delicious food.

This are we like to introduce the food at jonker street are the Chinese Dim Sum, Cendol and some shop. The Chinese Dim Sum in the Jonker Street are famous. It have many kind of Dim Sum especially Pau. The stalk sell about 6-7 kind of Pau and other kind of Dim Sum like the Fish Ball.

After a long walk at Jonker street, we finally have a rest in a dessert shop name "Jonker Dessert 88","大宝小食"^^. This Shop famous in many kind of ice kacang and cendol, so we order to try some. Is really taste good and so refresh for us. So we continue our walk after drink the cendol.

We go in to the Geographer Cafe located at the middle of the street is especially known among the foreign visitors, for its happening live bands on Friday and weekend nights. At that cafe, there was full of foreign visitors and the melody of country music was cover the whole cafe. We enjoy as we dance and sing the song together. Wish that we stay in Melaka ....
